Chandra Prakash Sahwal is a Senior Engineer at SRI-B with a keen interest in Data Science, Software Development, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing. He is currently working at Samsung as a Senior Software Engineer. Chandra has gained valuable experience through his work at Root2ai Technology Private Limited, where he worked as an Artificial Neural Networks Intern. During his time there, he worked on a project called Resume Parser, where he extracted text from resumes using PyMuPDF and manually created a data frame of different entities. He used BIO encoding to label the extracted text dataset with B, I, and O to train the model. Chandra also trained the word embedding layer and sequence tagger (Bi-LSTM & CRF Layer) on 200 resumes using Flair model. He predicted the entities of a resume and found cosine similarity between predicted and a given job description. He logged the trained model and parameters to MLFlow tracking, which can monitor the model while training and running. Chandra also worked as a Data Scientist at Datalytics, where he worked on a project called Stock Price Prediction. He extracted data of stock indices and economic indicators for different companies using yfinance and other APIs. He engineered technical indicators like Moving average, Support and Resistance, Relative Strength Indicator, and eliminated unimportant features having a p-value greater than 0.05 by using backward elimination methods. Chandra trained Linear regression, K-Nearest, Random Forest, Auto Arima, and LSTM to predict the next day's price. Chandra holds a Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Mechanical System Design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He completed his 12th standard from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Paota (Jaipur), with a focus on Science (Maths+Biology), and his 10th standard from Saraswati Vidya Mandir School, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
